Correcting Crooked Feet

Usually, I don't like to show my feet, but for the purpose of this review, you can see for yourself the asymmetries in my feet.

Ok, maybe I won’t be able to correct my crooked feet, but in seeking physical wellness, I have added a new tool to my arsenal–the A-line insole. Yesterday, I had the good fortune to meet Gordon Hay, the creator and Founder of A-Line Systems. He made an assessment of my alignment as shown in the below video, and gave me new insoles to try. Gordon assures me that these new insoles will help me strengthen my feet, improve performance through any motion and activity, and correct malalignments in my body. These insoles use a “patented triangular suspension system that restores your natural arches and allows the foot’s structures to move as they need to move…with no loss of stability…The result: your legs align optimally though all phases of motion.”

I will keep you posted on my journey to retraining my feet. Wearing the insoles throughout my day, including exercise, is promising to strengthen the connective tissue in my feet that have gotten lazy, atrophied, and imbalanced from a lifetime of wearing flip-flops, sandals, and squishy sneakers.

  1. Please keep me posted on how your feet retraining goes! My feet are pretty flat with no arches and it probably contributes to some of the back pain/bad posture I have. It’d be great to actually know someone who’s using these insoles rather than having a stranger trying to convince me to buy them.
Thanks for coming to the event last night too!

  2. Thanks for checking this out Stephanie. I just posted my week 2 review. Will definitely keep you posted. Feel free to reach me offline to discuss more.

  3. Great article. There’s a lot of good info here, though I did want to let you know something – I am running Ubuntu with the current beta of Firefox, and the layout of your blog is kind of strange for me. I can understand the articles, but the navigation doesn’t work so well.

  4. lol many of the feedback visitors write are so silly, commonly i ask myself if they in truth read the stories and content before leaving your 2 cents or if perhaps they take a moment to skim the title of the post and publish the initial thought that pops into their brain. anyways, it is actually pleasurable to read through smart commentary every now and then rather than the same, traditional oppinion vomit which i frequently notice on the net i’m off to have fun with a couple of hands of zynga poker so long

  5. i might not have figured this was interesting a number of years back but it is interesting how age adjusts the means by which you have an understanding of varied creative concepts, thank you with regard to the article it’s pleasant to look over something smart once in a while in lieu of the ordinary trash mascarading as a blog on the web, i’m off to play a few hands of zynga poker, cheers
